The Meaning of Calibration

Calibration means using a measurement standard to determine the relationship between the value displayed by the measuring instrument and the true value. The reliability of a measuring instrument can be guaranteed by calibrating it according to a measurement standard.
Generally, calibration is performed twice: before and after using the measuring instrument. If a measuring instrument is used continuously and is calibrated periodically, the interval must be determined in advance and strictly followed. This is called the "calibration interval." In determining the interval, refer to the manufacturer's recommendations while also judging the interval according to the measuring instrument's frequency of use.
